A woman identified as Caroline Shaw was detained outside Mar-a-Lago this week after she drove up to the gate and claimed she had an ‘urgent message’ for President Trump.
Secret Service officials discovered firearms in her vehicle, and she was charged with a suspended license and an expired vehicle registration. She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
The woman has now had her first court appearance:
Caroline Shaw, 49, faces charges of driving with a suspended license and failure to register a vehicle, the Palm Beach Police Department noted in her arrest report. She has since pleaded not guilty to the charges, records show.
At Shaw’s first appearance in court Tuesday, a judge gave her a $2,000 bond and ordered that she have no contact with Trump or any Trump property. She had not posted bond at the time of this report.
