Senator John Kennedy took to the Senate floor to discuss President Trump’s rescissions package, which includes all the spending he wants removed from the current budget.
Against the $7 trillion budget, the rescissions bill is a small figure, but that’s not his point. What he’s telling Republicans is that if they can’t cut this small part of the spending, then they never were serious about cutting spending in the first place.
