A San Diego police K-9 helped subdue a suspect accused of attacking a parking lot attendant and then striking the dog with a wooden bat during an attempted arrest.

Video shows the suspect hitting the K-9 before it regains control, takes him to the ground, and enables officers who had already deployed non-lethal rounds to take him into custody.

That dog deserves all the love in the world and a big, juicy steak, too.
