In 2011, Barack Obama announced the creation of a DOGE-type department known as “Campaign to Cut Waste” and appointed Joe Biden as its captain. “Nobody messes with Joe.”
In 2011, President Obama launched the initiative known as the “Campaign to Cut Waste.” The goal of this campaign was to reduce the federal deficit. He recognized that this effort could result in cuts to programs that many people value. However, he emphasized that eliminating wasteful and ineffective spending should be straightforward, stating, “What should be easy is getting rid of the pointless waste and stupid spending that doesn’t benefit anybody.”
He provided an example of federal funding for a government website created for a music band made up of forest rangers. “I’ll put their music on my iPod, but I’m not going to pay for their website. There are hundreds of similar sites that we should either consolidate or eliminate altogether,” he added.
The campaign was spearheaded by then-Vice President Joe Biden. The Office of Management and Budget reported that this campaign yielded direct savings of $17.6 billion within six months.
If Democrats are in control of anything, failure is imminent!
