The House of Representatives voted today to censure Rep. Al Green (D-TX) for his inappropriate behavior during President Trump’s joint address to Congress on Tuesday.
The vote was 224-198. Every Republican voted yes, while some Democrats surprisingly also voted to censure. After the vote, Democrats began singing “We Shall Overcome” on the House floor.
Should we censure every representative who disrupted today’s proceedings in the House? They are clearly unfit for polite society.
