Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene firmly shut down a British journalist who sought to question her about the leaked Signal messages regarding U.S. military strikes on the Houthis in Yemen. She explicitly told the reporter to “go back to your country.”
“Wait. What country are you from?” Greene asked seconds after hearing Kelner’s accent.
When the reporter stated she was from the United Kingdom, the congresswoman interrupted her before she could finish her question and refused to answer it.
“OK, we don’t give a crap about your opinion and your reporting,” Greene said. “Why don’t you go back to your country, where you have a major migrant problem.
“No, no, no, no — you should care about your own borders,” the GOP firebrand continued, as Kelner persisted.
“Do you care about American lives being put at risk?” the reporter interjected.
“Let me tell you something,” Greene responded. “Do you care about people from your country? What about all the women that are raped by migrants?”
“You’re done — I don’t care about your fake news,” the congresswoman snapped as she sought out an “American journalist” to ask her a question.
