A government research lab that had conducted “cruel” and deadly drug experiments on beagles for at least four decades has been shut down, National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya revealed.
“We put forward a policy to replace animals and research with other technological advancements, AI, and other tools that actually translate better to human health.”

The photos of beagles subjected to cruel experiments will haunt me forever! Thank you, President Trump, for stopping this unbelievable cruelty!
In 2019, President Trump signed the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act into law, making certain acts of animal cruelty a federal crime.
Yesterday, I sent a letter to Dr. Fauci regarding cruel, taxpayer-funded experiments on puppies; debarking before drugging and killing them. Thankful to my 23 democrat and republican colleagues who signed on. This is disgusting. What say you @NIH pic.twitter.com/c54SXipD9Q

These three beagles were freed from Dr. Fauci’s cruel animal experimentations. Now, they’re each in a loving home and stealing hearts in the Oversight Committee room as star witnesses. pic.twitter.com/YXLXuH4zFn
