CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan stated that supporters of Luigi Mangione, the man accused of shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel last year, feel a “rightful rage” toward the U.S. healthcare system. He made this comment while providing a preview for a forthcoming CNN production about the rise of extremism.
“But, you know, these are people who actually really do care and have been affected by the healthcare system in this country. And we all know how very broken that system is for millions of Americans. So I think what we’re seeing manifesting outside of court is people who have actually been really hurt and who have earned a desperate situation and have a rage, a sort of rightful rage.”
This is a disgusting take on the situation and should not be tolerated in America. Murder is murder, and this was a cold-blooded act.
